As Mo Shao and her companion came out, the others began arriving on the island one after another, so she chose to head straight into the interior.
After all, the good things on the island had already been collected by the group that arrived first, and some were even stuffed directly into the suitcase.
—Even though that leader didn't know how to enter the world inside the suitcase, he could still use it as an ordinary container.
He had likely accidentally Dead-bound the suitcase and, sensing it was somewhat special, had been conducting various studies on it.
This actually made things convenient for Mo Shao. She didn't need to scour the island for loot; she could go straight to updating her gear.
First, it was important to clarify that because most items in Peacekeeper Elite existed in reality, the difference in laws wasn't significant.
For instance, various firearms could be used directly, and helmets and body armor could be worn without needing to be Live-bound.
Similarly, the contents of medkits could be used, but they would only provide their basic physical functions.
Without Live-binding, the damage reduction from helmets and body armor, as well as the extra storage space, would not take effect. Medkits would also not be able to instantly restore health.
However, this wasn't much of an issue. As long as she carried them, she could just switch her Live-binding slots whenever necessary.
Admittedly, this required a high level of proficiency. Newcomers usually needed a moment to switch their Live-binding slots.
Naturally, Mo Shao was extremely skilled; for her, switching Live-binding slots was almost instantaneous.
Mo Shao first equipped a Level 3 Body Armor, which could provide a 55% damage reduction to the torso when needed.
It also added 50 capacity, acting as a small spatial storage item.
To put that capacity into perspective, a mountain bike takes up about 30 capacity.
She then donned a Level 1 Backpack for an additional 150 capacity. Mo Shao chose not to use Level 2 or 3 backpacks because they were too bulky.
Her current physique wasn't large—nothing like her former self—and carrying a high-level pack would seriously hinder her mobility.
Besides, since she had the suitcase to store things and could use nested storage bags, there was no need for such a cumbersome item.
With her gear set, she took advantage of the fact that the helmet could be hidden; otherwise, her sensory field of vision would have been restricted.
However, the hidden helmet feature in Peacekeeper Elite only applied to the user. To outside observers, Mo Shao was still wearing a helmet.
This mix-and-match style was undeniably strange... but given the protection it offered, she didn't mind. In the apocalypse, who wasn't a bit of a fashion disaster?
Next were the vehicles—boats, horses, and cars—which the vanguard had already gathered in one place.
Unsurprisingly, she planned to collect them all into the suitcase, linking them to the Wilderness to serve as buildings.
Yes, even vehicles counted as buildings there!
However, some prerequisites had to be met first.
She had to use her own energy to completely envelop the item she wanted to put inside while simultaneously Live-binding the suitcase to achieve a form of Law Fitting.
Only then could the item be converted into a building certified by the Wilderness.
This process was quite energy-intensive and required incredibly precise control; otherwise, the item would be destroyed.
At this stage, probably only Mo Shao and a few others in the entire world could pull off such an operation.
These cars would likely stay in the Wilderness indefinitely, with Mo Shao only driving them when needed—but she planned to ride the horses frequently.
After all, the advantages of these creatures were laughably exaggerated! They were essentially super-warhorses that were unfair to use against anyone else!
First of all, they had massive health bars, requiring over twenty gunshots to kill. They could self-heal just by lowering their heads to eat grass, going from zero to full health in just a hundred seconds.
They didn't require fuel either. If they ran out of stamina, they could just eat grass for 10 seconds to keep going. They also featured a launch start, reaching full speed in a single second.
They could hit speeds of 88 km/h and even swim across rivers while carrying a rider. In the world of the game, a 90-degree angle was a wall, while 89 degrees was a slope—and they could climb slopes without losing any speed.
They were practically the perfect mode of transport! Besides, many people had fantasized about the dashing image of riding a horse!
Of course, Mo Shao didn't need to hoard every single vehicle. The number of transports on the island was overflowing.
There were so many that placing one on every tile wouldn't be enough.
So, she only kept a few of each type, totaling forty cars and ten boats.
However, she took almost all of the horses—nine out of the eleven available.
With so many horses, it would be easy to block bridges... ahem, she was getting ahead of herself.
Mo Shao took nine horses because the Wilderness currently had a maximum capacity of nine people, so there was no point in taking more.
She also needed to collect various winter-limited items.
Decoy Snowmen, Ice Guns, Snowball Generators... these items had a time limit in the game, but in reality, that limit didn't exist.
Since this "game" would never end, there was no such thing as a final few minutes or a "final circle."
And the good things inside were plentiful!
Ice Skates for rapid movement, Sleds that could fly long distances, and Ice Guns that could create blocks of ice...
In the early stages, the most useful item was the Decoy Snowman. If you were about to die, it would automatically trigger, granting five seconds of invincibility!
Moreover, these items could be used repeatedly! Once one was used up, you just had to replace it with a new one!
Of course, the invincibility in reality wasn't absolute; it depended on the energy level of the attack. At this stage, it was mainly used to block damage from conventional firearms and explosives, which was the limit of Peacekeeper Elite's world logic.
Still, it was incredibly useful early on, as most people could not yet ignore bullets and shells.
One could also Dead-bind such an item to allow its strength to grow with their own—though few would do that.
Unless the item had both unique mechanics and high stats.
Except for the Sleds and the Cozy Campfires, most of these items could be obtained "infinitely" through one specific method!
That was the one thing Mo Shao absolutely had to take—the Gacha Machine! This thing was a true source of infinite resources!
As for the power source—Mo Shao simply stuffed a Redstone block next to it. Redstone was an infinite power source after all!
There were fifteen themed Gacha Machines on the island. She wasn't greedy and only took five, which would be more than enough!
She had originally thought that moving these things would be a hassle and debated taking fewer, but now it wasn't a problem at all!
She just stuffed them into the suitcase and packed them away!
