After concluding their discussions, Xuanjian left the Netherworld Blood Sea together with the two Ancestral Witches, Houtu and Xuanming.
Minghe had given a definitive promise: he would certainly work out the Blood Sea Formation before the Dao Ancestor's second lecture!
In Xuanjian's memory, aside from the Twelve-Petaled Karmic Fire Red Lotus and the blood sea itself, the Blood Sea Formation also required the assistance of numerous Asuras to be deployed.
However... it did not really matter. Although Minghe did not have the Asura race yet, he possessed 840 million Blood God Son Avatars.
For Minghe, manpower had never been a problem.
After they departed the blood sea, Minghe impatiently buried himself in vigorous, full-scale work.
Meanwhile, Xuanjian leisurely returned to Fangzhang Immortal Island alongside Houtu and Xuanming.
On the way back, both Houtu and Xuanming gazed at Xuanjian with curious eyes.
Xuanjian smiled and said, “Ask whatever is on your mind.”
“Brother Xuanjian,” Houtu spoke up first, her earthy-brown, gem-like eyes fixed curiously on Xuanjian. “Why does Fellow Daoist Minghe's opportunity to attain the Dao lie with me?”
Xuanjian replied, “That is because in the future, Houtu, you will become an extraordinary existence, and Minghe is destined to be your subordinate.”
Xuanjian knew of two ways Minghe could attain the Dao.
The first was to wait until Houtu manifested Samsara, whereupon he would become the Lord of the Asura Path within the Six Paths of Reincarnation.
Integrating with the fruit position of the Lord of the Asura Path, he would certainly receive a portion of the future Earthly Dao's Primordial Purple Qi.
The second was the path of attaining the Hunyuan realm through laws.
The Great Dao Law of Slaughter that Minghe practiced would eventually reach a dead end in the future.
Minghe had slain Daluo Golden Immortals and Quasi-Saints, but he had never slain a Saint.
Therefore, if Minghe wanted his Great Dao Law of Slaughter to advance further, his only option was to accomplish the feat of 【Saint-Slaying】.
Only then could his Great Dao Law of Slaughter step into the seventy percent realm, allowing him to attain the Hunyuan Daluo Golden Immortal realm through the Great Dao Law of Slaughter.
This was what Xuanjian knew. But how difficult was it to slay a Saint?
Even if Minghe would later stand in the top tier below the Saints—an ancient sacred being contending for the very pinnacle—it would still be nearly impossible for him to achieve Saint-Slaying!
“Did you truly borrow Father God's power to catch a glimpse of the future?” Xuanming stared suspiciously at Xuanjian with her beautiful eyes.
Why hadn't they, the children of Father God, seen anything, yet Xuanjian had? Was it simply because the Ancestral Witches had lacked Essence Souls at the time?
“Of course,” Xuanjian nodded in affirmation. Since he had spun this lie, he had to keep it up to the end. He couldn't very well tell one story to Minghe and a completely different one to the Ancestral Witches.
“Then, Brother Xuanjian, what kind of existence will I become in the future? What should I do?” Houtu asked again.
Xuanjian offered a mysterious smile and shook his head. “Now is not the time to tell you. When the time comes, even without my guidance, you will naturally come to understand.”
However... in the original trajectory of destiny, Houtu sacrificed herself to embody Samsara and achieved great merit, but for the Wu tribe, the harm far outweighed the benefits.
Houtu's true Ancestral Witch body would transform into the complete Netherworld and manifest the Six Paths of Reincarnation. Even though she would later birth an Essence Soul through Great Dao Merit, her Essence Soul would be imprisoned within her physical form, leaving her unable to step outside the bounds of the Netherworld for the rest of her days.
This outcome was something Xuanjian did not wish to see.
As his ally, Xuanjian much preferred to see a Great Dao Saint Houtu who could freely roam the mortal world across all realms, rather than an earthbound spirit bound to the underworld.
But there was still a long time before Houtu would embody Samsara, so Xuanjian could take his time thinking of a solution.
“Hmph.” Seeing that Xuanjian was unwilling to tell her directly, Houtu snorted unhappily. “You Essence Soul culti... I hate people like you who talk in riddles the most.”
Originally, Houtu was about to say, “I hate you pure Essence Soul cultivators the most,” but on second thought, she realized that she was now a pure Essence Soul cultivator herself, so she changed her words.
Listening to Houtu's grumbling, Xuanjian did not mind at all, maintaining an easy and calm smile on his face.
...
After the Dao Ancestor's first lecture, a period of ten yuanhui had been set for all living beings to digest their insights. By now, eight yuanhui had already passed.
While Xuanjian led Xuanming and Houtu to the Netherworld Blood Sea to negotiate business with Minghe, Dijiang and Zhujiuyin had each taken four Ancestral Witches along with Arch-Witches of the tribe to spring into action.
Consequently, the living beings of Honghuang witnessed a bizarre sight: that ignorant and barbaric Wu tribe, known only for fighting and devouring raw flesh, was actually... cleansing the fiend qi and turbid qi between heaven and earth?
Zhujiuyin, the Ancestral Witch of Time, personally crafted a Time Great Realm. Time inside was frozen, and all things remained constant and unchanging.
The Ancestral Witches and Arch-Witches drew in fiend qi and turbid qi from everywhere, packing it all into the Time Great Realm.
Everywhere they went, they purged the land of fiend qi erosion and turbid qi contamination.
Every deed they performed was of great merit to heaven and earth.
When the amount of fiend qi they cleansed reached a certain threshold, Heaven bestowed merit to reward the Wu tribe. Though it was small at first, many a little made a mickle.
The myriad spirits and various sacred almighty beings of Honghuang were dumbfounded. Was this still the Wu tribe they knew? Since when did the Wu tribe start caring for the environment of heaven and earth?
Upon receiving the news, Hongyun, the famous good samaritan of Honghuang, came to the scene in person. He was full of praise for the Wu tribe's actions and voiced the question puzzling all living beings: “May I ask the Ancestral Witch why you have suddenly undertaken such benevolent deeds?”
Zhujiuyin replied with utter solemnity, “Protecting Honghuang is every Wu's duty.”
“Honghuang is the only home Father God left for us amidst the Chaos. If we do not protect it well, wouldn't we be failing Father God?”
Hearing this, Hongyun was filled with deep respect. “The Ancestral Witch's righteousness is profound; Hongyun cannot compare.”
“In that case, let Hongyun accompany you all in purifying Honghuang's fiend qi.”
“Don't!”
Zhujiuyin stopped him. “Fellow Daoist, you are a cultivator who practices pure Essence Soul cultivation. You are not suited for such rough labor. If you become tainted by fiend qi, the loss would outweigh the gain. Our Wu tribe can temper our bodies with fiend qi, so we fear nothing! It is better to leave it to us.”
Hearing this, Hongyun was deeply moved. “Fellow Daoist Zhujiuyin, if anyone speaks ill of your Wu tribe in the future, I, Hongyun, will be the first to object!”
“Who said the Wu tribe does not know the Heavenly Numbers? The Wu tribe is simply wonderful.”
To this, Zhujiuyin felt not the slightest ripple of emotion in his heart. Could I possibly let you snatch away our Wu tribe's opportunity? We must gather as much merit as possible and strive to forge a Merit Golden Wheel for every one of our kinsmen.

On the other side, Dijiang set out leading Tianwu, Rushou, Jumang, and Zhurong, along with Arch-Witches from their respective tribes.
Shenni fell and the tribulation ceased, yet the ferocious beasts were not extinct, concealing their traces. Hard for Heaven to divine and unseen by Earth, they awaited only troubled times to bare their fangs.
Since the defeat and fall of Beast Emperor Shenni, ninety percent of the ferocious beasts had been wiped out by the Innate God-Fiends of that era. Yet a portion of the ferocious beasts had still survived, lurking and hibernating in desolate, inaccessible places.
From what the Ancestral Witches knew, among the Four Great Ferocious Beasts and the Five Great Ferocious Insect Sovereigns under Beast Emperor Shenni back then, one of the great ferocious beasts and one of the great ferocious insect sovereigns had survived—their whereabouts simply remained unknown.
Leading four Ancestral Witches and nearly twenty Arch-Witches, Dijiang set out in grand fashion, specifically plunging into perilous regions of Honghuang where few ever went. For example... the Western land and the Northern land!
In Dijiang's view, compared to the Eastern and Southern lands—which were richly endowed by nature, blessed with spiritual prominence, and teeming with countless living beings—the Western and Northern lands held the greatest probability of harboring ferocious beasts. Of these two lands, one had been...
