The carriage entered Estelle, rolling through the bustling commercial streets before arriving in a relatively quiet district.
At the end of the street stood a massive, grand palace-like building, adorned with a starry emblem in the center.
This was the entrance to Star Chant Academy.
“Brother Tyr.”
By the time Tyr arrived, Sevira was already waiting.
These few days were the enrollment period for Star Chant Academy, so there was a steady stream of people coming and going at the entrance.
According to the academy's rules, unnecessary personnel were not permitted inside, and each student was allowed to bring at most one maid.
“Have you been waiting long?”
Stepping down from the carriage, Tyr walked over to Sevira.
“No, I just arrived as well.”
Having met up at the entrance, the two turned and walked toward the palace together.
As they stepped through the palace gates, the surrounding nobles instinctively made way for them.
Because Tyr had inherited Ivelina's pale violet eyes, his identity could not be determined at a glance. However, Sevira possessed the classic appearance of House Callis—white hair and red eyes.
Combined with the sharp, sword-like aura that naturally emanated from both of them, the nobles did not even need to guess which family they belonged to.
There were also many commoner students entering at the same time.
Although they might not have heard of House Callis, seeing the noble youths step aside with deferential expressions, they naturally followed suit and withdrew to the side.
None of the commoners capable of passing the entrance exam for Star Chant Academy were fools.
Even if there were some among them who harbored deep resentment toward nobles, they would not be foolish enough to pick a fight before they had even grown strong.
Inside the palace's main lobby, near the exit, stood a table over ten meters long.
Behind it sat upperclassmen who were registering the newly enrolled freshmen.
Seated at either end of the table were two instructors from Star Chant Academy.
Upon entering, Avia had informed Tyr about these two; both were Seventh Circle transcendents.
Star Chant Academy truly deserved its reputation as the premier institution of the Kester Empire. To become an instructor here, one had to be at least at the Seventh Circle.
As for professors, not only did their own realm need to reach the Eighth Circle, but they also had to publish over a dozen major papers related to their field. Furthermore, these papers had to possess genuine practical value.
In other words, the published papers had to make a real contribution. For example, a paper on magic tools required the creation of an actual physical object that proved highly effective in the outside world.
Only then would one be eligible to be evaluated for a professorship at Star Chant Academy. Any empty, grandiose papers with no practical utility would not only be rejected but would also be recorded as a black mark on their file.
In addition, Star Chant Academy had a dean and two vice deans, all of whom were at the Ninth Circle.
The commotion caused by Tyr and Sevira entering the lobby naturally caught the attention of the instructors and upperclassmen registering the freshmen.
“They're from House Callis.”
“I remember that a few days ago, the royal family's descendants, descendants of House Kairos, and the Little Saintess of House Aglaia also arrived. Now with House Callis here, that makes four of the six great families.”
“House Heronia is located in the western part of the empire, which is quite far from us. House Orlando of the northern lands has always been the last to report due to their geographical location, so it's possible that all six great families will gather here this year.”
“If that's the case, things are going to get lively.”
“Lively indeed, but it will be tough on the other students of their class. They were simply born at the wrong time.”
“Oh, come on, who's to say an absolute monster won't emerge from among them and surpass these guys?”
“Are you drunk?”
By the time Tyr and Sevira reached the table, everyone had stopped whispering. Even the expressions of the two instructors turned solemn.
“Hello, I am Tyr Callis. Here is my admission letter.”
“Hello, I am Sevira Callis. Here is my admission letter.”
Tyr and Sevira retrieved their admission letters from their storage bracelets and handed them to the senior student before them.
“Alright, let me verify them. Please wait a moment.”
The senior took Tyr's admission letter and scanned it with a spherical magic tool on the table. A moment later, the crystal atop the sphere glowed with a green light.
“There are no issues with the admission letter,” the senior said as he handed it back to Tyr.
This was done to prevent anyone from forging Star Chant Academy's admission letters to sneak in.
In fact, besides verifying the admission letters, there was also a process to inspect the freshmen themselves.
This was to ensure that no one had stolen a freshman's admission letter or disguised themselves to gain entry. After all, there were commoners among Star Chant Academy's freshmen, so such a possibility was not entirely out of the question.
However, since these two were from House Callis, this step was unnecessary.
After all, if someone was capable of stealing an admission letter from a member of House Callis, then whether they inspected them or not seemed rather meaningless.
If they actually discovered that such a person's identity was fraudulent, they wouldn't just be exposing an imposter—they would be throwing their own lives away.
“The identity check is complete. Please follow me, you two.”
One of the young and beautiful instructors at the long table stood up, leading Tyr and Sevira toward the exit of the lobby.
She then waved to the other freshmen who had already had their identities verified and were waiting nearby.
“Let's go, children. I will lead you into the academy.”
The instructor walked at the front of the line, with Tyr and Sevira following closely behind, while the other freshmen instinctively gave them space.
At the exit of the lobby, a massive blue barrier covered the doorway.
The barrier was fluid, resembling a blue curtain of water. Tyr could sense a quality within it that was highly similar to Holy Power.
“There is no need to worry, everyone. This is merely a minor detection spell used to check if you carry any Abyss power or contraband.”
The magic power forming this barrier was extremely sensitive to Abyss power, which was likely the quality Tyr had sensed.
Passing through the barrier, a campus teeming with vitality greeted their eyes.
Beneath their feet lay a gray stone-paved path, flanked by lush green lawns and flowerbeds. In the distance was a small plaza with a beautiful fountain in the center.
Even further away stood several luxurious academic buildings, designed in the style of Gothic palaces.
There were quite a few students walking around the academy, though they all looked very young.
“This is the Outer Academy of Star Chant Academy. It isn't the main body of the academy, but rather a place for preparatory education.”
Students who only attended classes here were not considered actual students of Star Chant Academy. It was somewhat similar to the preschools of Tyr's previous life, serving only to teach basic knowledge about transcendents.
