Mo Shao had somewhat underestimated the sheer volume of her own knowledge.
Even with the assistance of the Idea Camera, she hadn't even processed half of it over the course of the night—or rather, she wasn't sure if she had even finished ten percent.
Densely packed formulas and theorems, material compositions, and stack after stack of blueprints had piled up into a small mountain.
Little Ka, who had curiously leaned in to take a look, expressed her opinion—she felt dizzy just looking at it.
Aris, however, was doing quite well. Perhaps because she had a good aptitude for it, she was actually able to calm her mind and read, even managing to understand some parts.
However, Mo Shao didn't just focus on organizing those “celestial texts”; she had also prioritized putting together various pieces of basic common sense.
“Take a look at this stack of things. I’ll be doing random spot checks later,” Mo Shao said, handing over a stack of photos about as thick as a small dictionary.
“Huh?” Little Ka was stunned on the spot. She looked at the photos in her hand, her face filled with an expression of inexplicable suffering. “I still have to memorize books even in the apocalypse?!”
“—And it’s such a thick book too?!”
“These are all basic pieces of information. Learning them will be very helpful for surviving the apocalypse,” Mo Shao waved her hand, explaining very seriously: “Besides, photos are much thicker than paper; it just looks like a lot.”
“Uh, fine then.” Although she complained, Little Ka knew what was important. She started reading them right there and then.
—And soon, she became quite engrossed.
After all, these things were all related to survival, and the content wasn't anything obscure or difficult to understand, so she naturally got into it.
As for Aris, Mo Shao let her start by looking at various pieces of common sense regarding the tech side. Once they were both done, the two of them could just swap and read the other's material.
With Little Ka and Aris entering a study state, Mo Shao naturally continued her work on the other side, supplementing their “textbooks.”
This was a long-term project that would likely take quite some time. She could only take it slow; there was no rushing it.
…
Of course, Mo Shao wasn't some kind of devil; she wasn't about to force them to study for hours on end. Just a basic understanding of the situation was enough.
Around midnight, they went to sleep one after another. All things considered, they had probably studied for about four hours?
In Mo Shao’s eyes, this was quite short. After all, in her past life, a bit of technological knowledge would often take several days of continuous research.
And those several days of research only meant she had understood the basics; to truly research and master it… that could only be described as an incredibly long process.
Day seven of the apocalypse, 7:00 AM. Mo Shao was still the first to wake up… after all, seven hours of sleep in the apocalypse was already considered sleeping in.
Normally, given her physical stats, roughly three hours of sleep would be enough for her to fully recover—but she still suggested getting more rest.
After the arrival of the apocalypse, certain “common understandings” existed within the various fantasies—for instance, regarding the aspect of sleep.
Sleep was one of humanity’s most powerful “talents.” Most damage sustained by the spirit and soul could be repaired through sleep.
Of course, the prerequisite was that the damage wasn't too severe—but in any case, normal sleep was beneficial in many ways.
…
After washing up briefly, Mo Shao proceeded with her usual daily tasks, such as researching various Arcanum.
—She had to learn as well; knowledge was power, after all!
Roughly an hour later, Little Ka and Aris woke up one after another. After a bit of organizing and washing up, they set out once again.
They didn't choose to head directly for the desert; instead, they took a stroll around Seven Hills City first to see if there were any new and interesting things.
After all, with so many people and such a large searchable area, there was a high probability that others had found different opportunities.
Their first stop was the black market… but now that the authorities had firearms, they had managed to somewhat bring the place under control.
—It could finally be called a proper market now.
However, after walking a large circle, Mo Shao only picked up a few plants from Plants vs. Zombies. For the time being, there were no other good items.
The Phantom Realm of Plants vs. Zombies was essentially a collection of American-style communities filled with rows upon rows of villas.
Various plants were grown on the lawns, in the swimming pools, or even on the roofs of the villas. Quite a few of these plants even possessed the ability to move.
—It was somewhat similar to the setting in 《Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare》, where they could run around by pulling up their roots or using flowerpots.
There were common settings within the Phantom Realms as well, especially for things from the same series like Plants vs. Zombies.
However, Mo Shao hadn't been able to buy any of the upgraded purple card plants yet… those things should be inside Crazy Dave’s van.
Within the Plants vs. Zombies Phantom Realm, the further one went, the stronger the zombies became, and Dave’s house should be at the very deepest part.
That was where the real good stuff was…
…
Currently, no one had explored that far in yet. The danger level wasn't actually that high, but the sheer number of zombies was overwhelming.
There was even some kind of regeneration mechanism—gravestones and the bottom of the swimming pools—things that, surprisingly, even functioned during the day…
Meanwhile, the current rumors circulating within Seven Hills City were that the major factions intended to wait a day for more firearms, and then gather their firepower to perform a sweeping assault.
—Mo Shao had, of course, leaked the information that “monsters will merge with each other, and monsters should be handled and separated early on.”
And clearly, those factions had listened… likely because Mo Shao’s reputation had already begun to precede her.
Inside Seven Hills City, quite a few people were vaguely aware of who the person was that had “passed on info about transformation, Dead-binding, Live-binding, and Halloween-related events…”
A woman who seemed very much like a reborn, though she likely wasn't, but someone who presumably had some kind of special ability for gathering information— “Sister Hui.”
She herself used magic and was powerful; she was also accompanied by a Katicia Transformer, who was an absolute powerhouse in terms of stats.
This wasn't surprising, though. After all, among the group from Huipu High School, someone was bound to have passed the relevant information along.
…
So this time, after Mo Shao used her old method to spread the information, it quickly caught the attention of those factions.
Members of several factions explicitly expressed a desire to find her and chat. As for Mo Shao’s choice—chat my foot!
She wasn't the kind of person who was very good at chatting; she didn't want to end up falling into some pit they had dug for her while they were talking.
When she wandered around Seven Hills City, she kept her invisibility active to avoid running into anyone who might recognize her or being gawked at by a crowd.
—The mere thought of that was a hassle. While she wasn't afraid of trouble, she didn't want to look for it either. Wouldn't it be better to save her energy?
However, it was only Mo Shao herself who acted this way. Not everyone liked to hide as much as she did.
Little Ka, for example, just wore a Level 3 Helmet and normal clothes and went off to wander around everywhere.
There was no helping it; Katicia’s appearance was far too conspicuous. Without some kind of disguise, she wouldn't be able to enjoy her walk at all.
Aris, on the other hand, didn't bother with any disguise—after all, she couldn't exactly hide the halo over her head, so she just didn't bother.
Besides, she was already somewhat famous in Seven Hills City anyway. After staying here for a few days, everyone had recognized her long ago, so there was no point in putting on a disguise.
But… because of this, she ended up attracting a few minor accidents.
